The Greek brand The Glass of Brixton was founded in 2014 and has since made a significant impact in the eyewear industry, embodying a multicultural and artistic identity—just like the alternative neighborhood in South London from which it takes its name. Behind The Glass of Brixton is a Greek family business with a legacy in optics dating back to 1963.
Ten years ago, Angelos Sicaras was inspired to create this new brand while listening to "The Guns of Brixton" by The Clash, and he turned that vision into reality. Urban aesthetics, innovative design, high-quality lenses and frames, along with the perfect balance between quality and affordability, have earned The Glass of Brixton a reputation for innovation and excellence both in Greece and internationally, offering a wide range of sunglasses and optical eyewear.
With a clear vision that promotes freedom of expression and respect for individual rights, The Glass of Brixton was created for everyone—regardless of gender, age, skin color, body type, sexual orientation, or gender identity. It is for all those who, behind these glasses, seek to explore the world, shape it, challenge it, and live it in their own unique way.
Prioritizing protection from ultraviolet radiation—the number one requirement for sunglasses—The Glass of Brixton offers a range of eyewear that ensures safety under the sun. All frames are made from acetate, while the lenses are organic, effectively absorbing harmful UV rays. Additionally, their inner surface features anti-reflective coatings, providing a more comfortable and strain-free vision even in intense sunlight.
